CSA B167 guidelines further specify:
- Functional checks should be conducted every time the crane is used.
- Frequent inspections:
- For standby or infrequent service (Class A) and light service (Class B): Monthly.
- For moderate (Class C) and heavy service (Class D): Weekly to monthly.
- For severe (Class E) and continuous severe service (Class F): Daily to weekly.
- Periodic inspections:
- For light service (Class B): Annually.
